Short Story

The sun was setting on a quiet suburban street. The only sound was the chirping of birds and the occasional car passing by.

John and his wife, Sarah, had just moved into their new home. It was a modern, state-of-the-art smart home, with all the latest technology. They had been excited to move in and start their new life together.

But something was wrong.

The lights in the house had started to flicker on and off, and the temperature seemed to be changing randomly. The appliances were turning on and off by themselves, and the security system was going haywire.

John and Sarah were starting to get scared.

Then, one night, they heard a loud crash coming from the basement. They rushed downstairs to find that the basement had been completely trashed. Furniture was overturned, and the walls were covered in strange symbols and writing.

John and Sarah were terrified. They had no idea what was going on, but they knew it wasn’t good.

The next day, they called a technician to come and take a look at the house. He quickly determined that the smart home had been hacked. Someone had taken control of the system and was using it to cause chaos and destruction.

John and Sarah were horrified. They had no idea who could be behind this, or what their motives were. All they knew was that they had to get out of the house as soon as possible.

They packed up their belongings and moved out that same day.

John and Sarah never returned to their smart home. They never found out who was behind the attack, or why they had been targeted. All they knew was that their smart home had gone very, very wrong.
